Dr. Navid Kimiaghalam is the technical area leader for our Surface Hydrology and Hydraulics group in Canada. He’s served as a lead coastal and hydrotechnical engineer, providing design and numerical modeling services on a wide range of projects. These include the Port of Vancouver on the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 project, the Fairview 2B Expansion in Prince Rupert, the LNG Canada Kitimat project, and the Greenstone Gold Mine’s Hardrock Open Pit project.
In addition to project work, Navid has published more than 10 scientific articles hydraulics and sediment transport modeling and also acts as a reviewer for several national and international journals. In 2019, he received the Award for Distinguished Contributions to Sediment Research from the International Journal of Sediment Research for his work on cohesive sediment transport.
